THE "CULTURE" OF DIVORCE
TO "DI" OR NOT TO "DI" ... that is the choice.
We are born into the world of duality. Seeking positive, profound experiences within this duality is the way (individually and collectively) to live a healthy physical, emotional, mental and spiritual/religious life. In this way (with a solid foundation), one builds a that elevates one to the One. On the other hand, seeking negative, shallow experiences within this duality is the way (individually and collectively) to create an unhealthy physical, emotional, mental and spiritual/religious life. In this way, one follows an, ultimately, divisive path (based on a unstable foundation) that leads one further and further from a unified reality. This upside down "oneness" is practically deceptive since, at first glance, it would appear to represent unity.
Prematurely proclaiming "All is One" is typical of this unstable position. This syndrome is the illusion of the ego which puts itself first which creates a very shaky posture of self-deception characterized by "get it quick" schemes. The ridiculous notion of "Certified Yoga Teachers" is a vivid example of this upside down "culture." Claiming "ownership" and rejecting it, when convenient, is also the M.O. of these spurious "yoga teachers." For example, phony "yoga teachers," have no problem stealing all aspects of Yoga from the Hindus and then turn around and say to Hindus: "Nobody owns Yoga." Huksters, throughout time, have employed this deception on whole nations of the innocent.
The preponderance of the negative path is clearly evident in the modern "Divorce culture." This egocentric and divisive mindset manifests in a basic lack of commitment and in such cliches as: I am spiritual but not religious; Yoga is not religion, and I teach Yoga but I am not a Hindu, to name a few. A mature more refined ego approach to life is exemplified by the ability to make commitments and stick to them. The Hindu disciplines of Yoga are meant to bring order, union and harmony. The choice within this duality is up to us. The du-el is within. Du-rable or Du-bious? The Eternal Spiritual Journey consists of both movements. Understanding these opposites is to understand this gem that is creation. Sooner or later, we will all begin at the bottom and build a strong foundation of understanding the Soul (Atman); one's self (I) and others (Many)--this is the AIM.
The prefix "di" can either indicate: 1. An expanding, profound healthy reality or 2. A contracting, shallow unhealthy reality. The former is a way to and a manifestation of a refined self/ego and developed Self or Soul. The latter is a way to and a manifestation of an unrefined self and undeveloped Self. The former results in self-less behavior (good Karma); while the latter in selfish behavior.

TO "DE OR NOT TO "DE" ... that is the question.
Having a little play with the famous quotation by Shakespeare, we must de-cide what to be. To just be (decent) is the answer (which will lead the Spiritual Seeker to a being and not being). Again, if we follow the path of number two, or the reverse evolution of negative duality, it just might be that "Shakes appear." Interestingly, the prefix "de" can also either indicate: 1. To add or 2. To subtract. The first leads to a vibrant experience in duality while the second leads to a life of premature de-cay.
1. Dedicate; Decency; Decide; Decision; Decisive; Declare; Decorum; Deduce; Deduction; Deep; Debt; Defend; Definite; Definition; Delight; Deliver; Deity.
2. With a little reflection, it is easy to see that following the negative path may seem like the easiest (hence, its popularity) with often quick results in fame and fortune, for example. The end of such path, however, is never pleasant. Following what may sometimes seem to be the slower path of positive behavior will ultimately lead to success. Adhering to one's religion is a very effective way of living a positive life of duality which, if one perseveres, will eventually lead to profound and wholesome life experiences. Following the Hindu Dharma and its classic Yogas is a time-tested and timeless path that clearly lays out the foundation which builds a successful life in this world and others. To become part of the Di-vorce "culture" or the Di-vine culture--that is the vital question that each one of us must ask.
DA ... DA ... DA ... is the way.
In the Hindu scripture Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, Prajapati (Siva) uses these three syllables to teach the way of positive duality (Classical Yoga/Hinduism) that leads ultimately to the mountain-top transcendental consciousness of Spiritual-Reality. Da-myata (self-control or Karma Yoga); Da-tta (giving, devotion or Bhakti Yoga); Da-yadhvam (compassion which is a unified consciousness or Raja into Jnana Yoga).
Ethics, Devotion, Meditation to Enlightenment is the way--ED.ME. In other words, each one must take responsibility for their own education which of course includes accepting the help of outer teachers. In this light, one must find their religion. In the Hindu Dharma/religion, this way of spiritual/material education is known as Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Raja Yoga to Jnana Yoga, respectively.
You've got to have a Dream/Dharma. If you don't have a Dream/Dharma, how you gonna make it through?
Di, Di, Di
De, De, De
And a couple of
Da, Da, Da's
That's how we dance
The Day away
Just like Nataraj.
