The
Classical Yoga Hindu Academy is a federal and state 501(c)3 recognized non-profit Hindu religious organization, and therefore all donations to the Academy are completely tax-deductible.PURPOSE OF MEMBERSHIP: Any organization is made up of individuals who have joined together as a group to accomplish certain goals. Like all spiritual/religious organizations, the purpose of the Classical Yoga Hindu Academy is to create and sustain a spiritual sanctuary for teaching, devotions and outreach in many forms.
GOALS:
* To provide the physical facilities of the Academy. The Academy (however humble) will be a place open daily to the public.
* To serve as a place of spiritual refuge where one can feel free to regularly visit.
* To offer classes in all aspects of Classical Yoga Hinduism.
* A place for spiritual devotions and regular Hindu services.
* To offer publications and correspondence courses to the general public.
MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
* First and foremost is the realization and satisfaction that one is participating in a great spiritual endeavor that will effect the lives of many. This is Seva or spiritual service. This is good Karma (Yoga).
* Members will receive a monthly bulletin that includes a monthly financial account.
* Members will receive a 25% discount on all publications and other items sold by the Academy.
MEMBERSHIP DUES: Along with physical services rendered, in many religious traditions, tithing is the spiritual discipline of giving one-tenth of one's income to one's religious institution. This is a wise practice, and one that demonstrates the sincerity of the members. Giving to a cause greater than one's self is good Karma (Yoga) or ethics and selfless service. This is a mature spiritual attitude that recognizes the benefit of helping others and as well as one's spiritual Self as the selfish ego is gracefully transcended.
With these thoughts in mind and recognizing that members of the Academy will contribute in other ways; i.e., class instruction and services, each member agrees to pay minimum monthly dues of 30.00 per individual and 50.00 per family. This minimum tithe (certainly if one can afford a greater tithe, the Academy's mission will further grow) can be paid monthly, quarterly or annually.

All monies will go toward such items as:
* Construction and maintenance * Furnishing, office equipment * Utility Bills * Web site
* Publications * Advertising * Saving for future building
~ Any spiritual/religious group is only as strong and vital as the members within it. A spiritual/religious organization is a reflection of its dedicated members.
