UPCOMING EVENTS/FESTIVALS
NO MAJOR FESTIVALS IN THE NEAR FUTURE. IT IS KARMA YOGA TIME. TIME TO PREPARE THE SOIL AND PLANT THE SEEDS. WORK, WORK, WORK (KARMA YOGA). PRAY, PRAY, PRAY (BHAKTI YOGA). MEDITATE, MEDITATE, MEDITATE (RAJA YOGA). THINK, THINK, THINK TO ENLIGHTMENT (JNANA YOGA).
At this time of the year, everyone was and is too busy with the basic work ("kri") that naturally occurs in the spring and summer seasons. At the Ashram, we, now, focus on Karma Yoga with physical work and discussions on Karma Yoga. This foundational Yoga of Hinduism is comprised of ethics and self-less service. Think of how often this root Yoga is completely overlooked. How many classes does one see in Karma Yoga? Karma Yoga is essential to go deeper into Bhakti, Raja and Jnana Yoga. Without an ethical foundation in life, in general, one cannot perform at a level of excellence. Join us every Sunday morning at 10:30 for enlightening discussions on Karma Yoga. Join us every Saturday to work and sweat. Work; heat; light; illumination--Karma; Bhakti; Raja; Jnana. |
